Fitness femmes take note: See Jane Run opened in Blackhawk Plaza. The women’s sports store, whose three other locations are in Boise, Oakland, and San Francisco, sells workout bras, running shoes, and other athletic apparel, and also offers triathlon-training workshops and fitness coaching.
Lots of news from Walnut Creek’s Broadway Plaza: Banana Republic has started construction on a much bigger store than it currently occupies. Aveda beauty store and the nearby Salonamour’ are cohosting a Cut-a-Thon on Broadway Plaza’s promenade on April 19, with proceeds going to the Clean Water Fund. And cutting-edge eyebrow culture has arrived with i bar. The new store specializes in eyebrow threading, a brow shaping technique that’s much easier than tweezing.
If eyebrow threading's not your thing, the European Wax Center just opened in the Ygnacio Plaza Shopping Center in Walnut Creek. The all-wax, all-the-time shop even offers an Unlimited Wax Membership—yikes. Deliciouz is moving into Hush’s old location at 1354 Main Street. The European shoe store will also offer casual, “mom chic” clothing, featuring lines such as Vince and Clu.
And in Danville, there’s—surprise, surprise—a new tattoo parlor: Danville Ink has opened at 290 Rose Street.
