Bay Area mom Jessica Hoffman creates an eco-conscious kids music album

When Pleasant Hill’s Jessica Hoffman became a mom a few years ago, she realized a lot of children’s music was outdated—or downright annoying.
So Hoffman, a lifelong musician, composed 18 eco-conscious songs and spoken word pieces for a catchy, family-friendly album. My Changing Planet hits stores this month to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, and all net proceeds will be donated to the Nature Conservancy.
Hoffman recruited an impressive roster of talent to record her material: Singer-songwriters Joan Osborne and Toby Lightman, bluegrass greats the Wiyos, actor Matt Ross (HBO’s Big Love), and kid’s entertainer Daniel Ahearn all lend their voices to the album. My Changing Planet is available at Whole Foods Markets, iTunes, and mychangingplanet.com.
