Walnut Creek will host its very own restaurant week for the first time. Running April 16–22, the event will showcase special dining deals at more than two dozen eateries, from Prima Ristorante and Va de Vi, to Massimo and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
Participating restaurants will offer multicourse prix fixe menus priced at $10 or $20 for lunch and $20, $30, or $40 for dinner.
“We have everything from ethnic cuisine to chef-driven farm-to-table concepts to iconic national chains, all of which make Walnut Creek eat like a major metropolis,” says Heather McNeil, event co-coordinator. “Walnut Creek is in a league of its own when it comes to suburban dining.”
The city’s recently formed restaurant council, chaired by Prima owner Peter Chastain, is organizing the event. Part of The Walnut Creek Downtown Business Association, the council created the event to shine a spotlight on one of the East Bay’s top culinary hubs.
