Description

The Bay Area is a melting pot for diverse cultures and communities, often leading and breaking boundaries in popular music. The Bay also has a long history of Filipino influences (from Filipino mobile DJ crews to Invisbl Skratch Piklz to Fran Boogie) that have helped move the culture forward. Through the lens of the next generation of Bay Area artists, led by rapper P-Lo, this event will highlight and celebrate the Filipino-Bay Area connection and influence in music while highlighting the artists' own inspirational stories and experiences as first- generation artist immigrants, and their collective contributions in picking up the flag and pushing boundaries in music and culture.
