This event occurs weekly, on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The Lamorinda Arts Alliance is delighted to present a juried art exhibition “Under Pressure 2”, at the Main Street Arts Gallery in Martinez, California from September 6thto October 6th.
The artwork will be juried by Dana Zed, artist-in-residence at Kala Art Institute, and member of the California Society of Printmakers. The $100 cash first prize and second, third place and honorable mention show ribbons and prizes will be awarded to the winning artists at the reception on Saturday, September 7thfrom 3:00pm – 5:00pm.
All printmaking mediums were considered for exhibition with an emphasis on varied techniques. Intaglio etchings, monotypes, monoprints, solarplate etchings, Chine-collé, relief print woodblocks and linoleum art will be represented. All work represented at the gallery is handmade by the participating artists and was completed within the last two years.
The distinguished artists who will be showing and selling their print work are: Donna Arganbright, Nick Collins, Kelley Dean Crowley, Merry Curran Gregg, Gina Koenig, Carol Brent Levin, Arline Reimann, Israel Shualy, Karen Thapa, Tamara Thompson, Linda Yoshizawa and Juror, Dana Zed.

The Main Street Arts Gallery is open 11-5 pm, Wednesday through Saturday; 10am-2pm on Sundays.
