Sarah Wetmore
Congratulations, Changes! Longtime local favorite Changes Salon and Day Spa in Walnut Creek took home the “Entrepreneurial Excellence” award for the Western United States at the Global Salon Business Awards (www.salonbusinessawards.com) last month in Hollywood. This award recognizes Changes’ exceptional business achievement, professionalism, and leadership within the salon industry.Nick Arrojo’s salon, featured on TLC’s hit wardrobe overhaul television show, What Not to Wear, won the same award for the Eastern United States. This is Changes’ second international recognition. In 2006, Changes received a GBSA for Management. Changes owner, Bonnie Waters, says, “Winning the Global Salon Business Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence was an award of a life time for myself and the entire team here at Changes Salon and Day Spa. To be honored on a world stage of our peers for the business practices we commit to in our heart and soul everyday was a true honor. This award has brought our entire team at Changes closer. The award is a confirmation of the belief that each employee of Changes shares...the profound knowing that on a daily basis we touch peoples lives in ways we can't always imagine.”
