It’s December, and for some of us this translates to “get out the ski gear”. With several inches of fresh powder on the mountain, it's time to hit the slopes

Here are some of the best deals at 10 of Tahoe’s top ski resorts:

Alpine is currently offering $25 off any season pass ordered online. Heavenly is offering a season pass for full time (12 credit) students for $269, and will give $40 in on-mountain cash for each referral purchase.
Kirkwood has a kid skiing special on Sundays, which includes two free child (12 & under) lift tickets with any paid adult lift ticket or adult season pass.
Boreal is has a limited time coupon offering $6 off any adult ticket on its website, and gives $20 off its full-day tickets for college students and the armed forces.
Mt. Rose offers a “Weekend Xtender” deal, which includes 3-consecutive tickets (fri-sat-sun or sat¬¬-sun-mon) for $128, and Thursday is women’s day with a $29 full day pass.

Sierra-At-Tahoe encourages you to bring one guest (per day) any day your pass is valid and receive $10 off an adult all-day lift ticket.
Squaw has consecutive day tickets ranging from 2-14 days for prices starting at $134 for adult all day tickets.
Diamond Peak wants other resort members to bring their season passes and try it out for only $35 for a full-day ticket.
Sugarbowl will enter season pass purchasers into a drawing for a pair of 2009 Praxis Powder Skis if bought between now and 12/15/08.

You should also check out REI's deals on lift tickets to Alpine Meadows, Bear Valley, Heavenly, Kirkwood, Mt. Rose, Northstar, Sierra-at-Tahoe, Squaw Valley and Sugar Bowl, with savings of up to $18 off regular prices. Only REI members ($15 for lifetime membership) qualify. You can pre-purchase direct-to-lift Heavenly tickets for $60, a savings of up to $16 at participating Lucky and Save Mart stores. And don't forget about the Bay Area Ski Bus, where $105 (Heavenly and Squaw, $119) gets you a ride to and from the resort on a luxury bus, a lift ticket for Heavenly, Kirkwood, Northstar, Sierra, Squaw, or Sugar Bowl, and continental breakfast and apres-ski drink/snack, plus in-bus movies and no driving. It's $65 for just the bus ride. There are pick-ups in Oakland, Pleasanton, San Carlos, San Francisco, San Rafael, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, and Walnut Creek.
