Dog lovers! Check out this book signing at George

File this one under too cute to be true. San Francisco author Vivienne Flesher's new book, Alfred's Nose, introduces dog lovers to Alfred the Bulldog, a good looking pooch with a penchant for wearing costumes. See, Alfred is self-conscious about his nose, so he tries on a variety of fake noses, masks, and other accoutrement to change his look.  The color photography is gorgeous and the book's message is very sweet—a great gift for a little one, or, any bulldog owner.

In the spirit of full disclosure, author/photographer Flesher is a freelance artist who Diablo has used many times for illustrations, and couldn't be a nicer person—we wish her the best of luck with her adorable new book! Flesher will be hosting a book signing at the terrific 4th Street pooch store, George this Saturday, May 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. Not sure is Alfred will be in attendance.
