Great Teen Fun in Lafayette and Danville

Check out the world premiere of "Sherman's Lagoon" at Bentley School or play glow in the dark Capture the Flag in Danville

There's some great kids and teens activities happening in Diabloland this weekend.

1. The world premiere of the musical Sherman's Lagoon wraps up this Sunday, February 10, after performances Friday night, Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. The musical is based on cartoonist Jim Toomey's nationally syndictated strip and was developed at the Bentley School in Lafayette by Toomey with his longtime friend, Bentley drama teacher Winter Mead. Check it out this weekend before it heads to Broadway!

2. Meanwhile, the Valley Youth Council is hosting a Glow-in-the-Dark game of “Capture the Flag” for 9th through 12th graders on Saturday, February 9. Information is posted below.

DANVILLE – The Valley Youth Council (Danville, Alamo and San Ramon) is hosting the craziest night of games around. “Glow-in-the-Dark Capture the Flag” takes place 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9 in the gym of Iron Horse Middle School, 12701 Alcosta Blvd., San Ramon. The cost is $5 at the door.
This high school-only event, for 9th through 12th graders, will be like no other. Imagine a three-full-court gym lighted with only black lights and filled with hanging barriers. Players will wear red or yellow glow-in-the-dark necklaces in this constantly changing game of capture the flag. For more information please contact Chris Waage at 925-314-3481.
