Chevron Family Theatre Festival this Saturday in Walnut Creek

The third annual Theatre Festival returns to provide great shows as well as free entertainment for the family.

If you’ve been looking for something new and exciting to do with your family, look no further. This Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the third annual Chevron Family Theatre Festival is taking place at the Lesher Center for the Arts.

Enjoy the summer weather with a host of free outside events such as face painting, puppet making, and storytelling. But inside is where the real shows will take place, including The Platt Brothers, who will provide impressive acrobatic performances and humor of the same ilk. The Emmy award-nominated puppeteer Leslie Carrara will offer a dexterous show and popular kids' band The Sippy Cups is also performing. And perhaps most inspiring for the young ones will be the performance of Robin Hood by Fantasy Forum.

So take the kids out this Saturday and see if theatre thrills them.

Other Information: Shows last between 40 and 50 minutes, and tickets for each show cost $5. Tickets can be purchased online, here, or by calling (925) 943-7469. The Lesher Center for the Arts is located on 1601 Civic Dr. in Walnut Creek, lesherartscenter.org.
