East Bay reality stars heat up summer television

Watch for Walnut Creek's Russell Kairouz on the premiere of Big Brother 11, plus America's Got Talent clip and a future Top Chef.

Keep your eyes peeled and that remote handy, your East Bay neighbors are on some of this summer’s hottest reality TV shows.

Tonight, Thursday, July 9, watch for Walnut Creek resident Russell Kairouz on CBS’s Big Brother. Kairouz, (nicknamed "Russell the Love Muscle" by friends) is a commercial real-estate broker who claims to be, “ready for a fight.” One should think so, given his mixed martial arts background. For three weeks, Kairouz and the other contestants will be under a magnifying glass and locked in the Big Brother house to battle for food, luxuries, and the weekly title of Head Of Household. This season’s house is humongous, yet environmentally-friendly. More information here.

Over on NBC, Lawrence Beaman from Walnut Creek has been tearing things up on America’s Got Talent, which airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Check out Lawrence’s vocal stylings here.

On August 26th, foodies will want to check out Bravo's Top Chef to see Pleasant Hill native Ash Fulk. Currently the sous chef at Trestle on Tenth in New York City, Fulk is one of 17 “Chef'testants” on the popular cooking reality show.
