Fresh off winning the “Songwriter of the Year” at the 5th Annual South Bay Music Awards, singer/songwriter Jeffrey Halford will play a solo acoustic show this Sunday, July 12 at Bird and Beckett books and records in San Francisco. In August and November, Halford and his band, The Healers, will be back in San Francisco for more gigs.
Tailored with a group of buddies he calls “The Healers,” his band, Halford sings and plays lead guitar. With his recent cd, Broken Chord, hitting #8 on the national Americana charts, Halford and Co. are rising through the ranks as one of Bay Area's most up-and-coming bands.
Halford's distinctive sound and style toys with Americana, blues, acoustic and rock, with a unique yet relatable feel. Halford, who grew up in the Bay Area, remains a Berkeley native, and repays the love the Bay Area has shown him by staying local. Be sure to check out the group’s home stand when they come to town on August 1st at Plough and the Stars, and November 23rd at Café du Nord in San Francisco.
