Hometown hero Rickey Henderson was inducted into Major League Baseball's Hall of Fame Sunday. The Oakland-raised Henderson, who played 14 seasons for the hometown A's, is considered perhaps the best leadoff hitter in baseball history, and holds the all-time record for runs scored and (by a long shot) stolen bases—earning him the "Man of Steal" moniker. Henderson would famously refer to himself in the third person when speaking with reporters, but that verbal quirk never appeared during his 14-minute speech which, by all accounts, was moving and gracious.
