Bay Area Native Brings Her Art Back Home

Jessica Martin’s exhibition opens July 3 at the SLATE Art & Design in Oakland.

The Imaginary Landscapes: New Painting and Sculpture by Jessica Martin exhibition opens Friday July 3 at the Slate Gallery in the Temescal district of Oakland. The solo exhibition, which will be open until August 14, will feature Martin’s recent paintings and related sculptures. An artist reception will be held Saturday, July 11 from 7:00 to 9:00.

Martin, who moved to Healdsburg from San Francisco almost a decade ago, received an MA from California College of the Arts. The rising young artist and has exhibited nationally and internationally.
