Diablo's picks for the can't-miss events of the coming week: Walnut Creek's Wine Walk, the U.S. Bocce Ball Championships in Livermore, the King Tut exhibit returns to San Francisco, and Festival Opera's Opera in the Park.

June concludes with much fanfare, including a wine stroll, bocce ball championships, opera in the park, and the opening of the highly anticipated King Tut exhibit.  Here are your Top Tickets…

June 24: Downtown Wine Walk
Pick up a wine glass, wristband, and map, then sip and socialize your way through downtown Walnut Creek at this annual event. June 24–28: U.S. Bocce Championships
Watch 200 of the country’s best bocce ball players compete to qualify for the World Championships at Livermore’s Campo di Bocce. Tournament play begins Wednesday, and the finals are Sunday at noon. June 27–March 28: Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs
King Tut returns!  Thirty years after the record-breaking original 1979 exhibit, more than 130 artifacts from the tomb of Egypt’s “boy king” are on display at the De Young.  Purchase tickets in advance, and check out Diablo’s profile of curator Elisabeth Conru, who lives in Kensington.  De Young Museum, 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr., San Francisco, $16.50–$27.50, (877) 888-8587, tutsanfrancisco.org.

June 28: Opera in the Park
Get a sneak peak at Festival Opera’s upcoming season at a free concert in Civic Park. Pack a picnic and bring the whole family to hear selections from Giacomo Puccini’s final opera, Turandot, and Charles Gounod’s Faust, based on the play by Goethe.  Civic Park, Broadway and Civic Drive, Walnut Creek, 6 p.m., free, (925) 944-9610, festivalopera.com.
