The Body Clinic in Walnut Creek
Here's a nice deal being offered by The Body Clinic in Walnut Creek: Every month, a different group of service people will be eligible for two free Bowenwork sessions, a $150 value, with June serving government/state/city workers.
First started in Australia in the 1950s, Bowenwork is a style of bodywork that uses subtle movements to activate the body’s own healing mechanisms and can be used to find relief from ailments ranging from plantar fascitis to leg cramps to tennis elbow. The sessions take about an hour and can be done over your clothes—generally, 3-5 sessions (at one week apart) are recommended for effective pain relief.
“I wanted to be able to serve the community and give back,” Suzette Lake, owner and operator of the Body Clinic said. “Now I can do [community] service within business hours.”
There are no strings attached to your free sessions, although you must show proof of occupation. Appointments can be made by calling The Body Clinic at (925) 947-0780.
