Check Out Diablo's Halloween Costume Contest Winners

Congratulations to our five winners and thanks to everyone who participated in our first ever Halloween costume contest.

We asked Diablo readers to send in their favorite Halloween costume pics and were thrilled with the response. Thanks to everyone who participated in the contest, CLICK HERE or scroll to the bottom to check out all the crazy photos.

We also picked five winners in five different categories: Scariest, Most Original, Funniest, Cutest, and Best Overall. All our winners received a $25 gift certificate to Rocco's Ristorante & Pizzeria in Walnut Creek. So here they are: our five winners!

Best Overall

Thanks to Lisa Stackpole from Walnut Creek for submitting Evan—the Headless Butler. "It was amazing and made a lot of people laugh and do a double-take."
Scariest

Thanks to Duncan Leiggi from Walnut Creek for submitting Scary Bolt in the Head. "It looks so real. When one man came to the door to hand out treats, he was scared."
Funniest

Thanks to Jane from San Francisco for submitting Bruce Lee. "I sewed my 1 yr old daughter's yellow 'game of death' jumpsuit and crocheted the nunchucks."
Cutest

Thanks to Natalie Gayler from San Ramon for submitting Wild Thing. "Just to prove himself as a true Wild Thing, he fell and broke his brand new front tooth right after this picture was taken!"

Most Original
"I came up with the idea for this costume while in Las Vegas where I saw the living statues."

Thanks to Blaine and Felicia Deal Deal from Concord for submitting Wonders of the Ancient World. "Every year our family comes up with a theme for our costumes. My eldest son, having studied World History last year came up with the theme of "Wonders of the Ancient World", so we dressed as the Great Pyramids of Giza, Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Colossus of Rhodes, Lighthouse at Alexandria and Statue of Zeus at Olympia.
