How far would you go for the health and wellbeing of someone you love? In the movie based on the book he penned, Rupert Isaacson travels to Outer Mongolia with his wife and autistic son Rowan seeking the healing powers of the Shaman. The book and film, which opens Friday October 16 at Landmark’s Shattuck Theater in Berkeley (CLICK HERE to see the trailer), chronicles the Isaacsons' journey on horseback to the far reaches of the world in search of treatment for his son—this after discovering Rowan’s fascinating connection to animals, particularly horses, and the calming affect they have on his behavior.

For two hours in a casual and interactive atmosphere, Rupert will be available to participate with riding students, answer questions, sign books, and compare operations between that of HOTHARC and his own ranch, where he provides equine therapy services as well. His exciting visit not only brings awareness to the epidemic of Autism, it promotes the profound benefits of equine therapy and Hoofprints on the Heart.

Open to the public. Thursday, October 15, 1–3:30pm at Hoofprints on the Heart, 455 Olivina Ave., Livermore, hotharc.org
