Danville's Rose Garden grand opening
New retail and restaurant center is ready show you what its got
With summer quickly winding down and school quickly winding up, it won’t be long before families are once again running in and out of the house with their busy schedules. So, why don’t you head on down, with children and pets tow, to the grand opening event of The Rose Garden shopping center in Danville tomorrow and enjoy the last bit of summer.
The event, which kicks off with the ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m., is also a fundraiser for Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation. Festivities will include live music, a silent auction, face painting for children, Cat Grass seed plantings, and a balloon artist. Restaurants Amaranta Cocina Mexicana, Bittersweet Chocolate Café, Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria, and Esin Restaurant will also be out and about providing samples from their menu.
Since proceeds will go to ARF, you can be sure to find many activities for pets and their owners. There will be paw printing for dogs, a Dunkin’ for Treats game, and a dogs’ can dance demonstration. And if you’ve always thought you and your dog look similar, then be sure to enter the dog/owner look-alike contest. Another one to enter is the musical “sit” doggie contest. The ARF Mobile Adoption Van will also be at the event with cute and cuddly pets eagerly waiting to be adopted. For more information log on to http://www.arf.net/About_ARF/Events/rosegarden.html
