Wine a little
Five-course dinner with wine pairings from Grgich Hills Estate vintner August 21 at the Duck Club Restaurant in Lafayette.
The art of pairing wine is a delicate skill, requiring a developed palate and receptive senses. If done right, the perfect wine pairing can enhance and balance a beautifully crafted meal. If done wrong… well let’s not worry about that. Especially when you can enjoy an amazing gourmet meal Friday, August 21, by The Duck Club Restaurant’s Executive Chef Chuck Courtney, complete with pre-selected wine pairings. This five-course dinner, to be held at the restaurant located at the Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa, features vintner Mike Grgich of Grgich Hills Estate, widely recognized for award-winning wines produced from Napa-grown all organic grapes. Enjoy a taste of their selection as Grgich discusses his own personal wine philosophy and introduces some of his favorites. The menu is set to include dishes like the Fennel Crusted Colorado Lamb Rack, paired with a 2005 estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, and the Fresh Berry and St. Andre tart, paired with a 2006 Napa Valley Violetta. Seating is limited and reservations are required, so reserve your spot now for a truly tasteful evening.
