Picán Coming to San Ramon

Lease agreement signed for new restaurant from same owner as popular Uptown Oakland eatery. To take over old Mudd's location.

It’s official—if still a long way off. Nearly a year after expressing interest, Picán owner Michael LeBlanc finally signed a lease agreement Tuesday night to take over the old Mudd’s spot in San Ramon. For his new restaurant, which he previously said would be called Heritage, LeBlanc plans a similar Alice-Waters-meets-Southern-comfort approach as his popular Uptown Oakland eatery. But don’t make those reservations quite yet. According to one city source, Heritage likely won’t be open until next year.
