Back Forty, Brandy Ho's, Esin Restaurant, Il Fornaio, and Pizzeria Amoroma.
The August issue is off to the printer, but we’ve posted our restaurant reviews to the website early, so you won’t miss another opportunity to dine at some of the East Bay’s great spots. This month, we visit the newly opened Pizzeria Amoroma in Orinda, where you can find everything from fresh juice cocktails to wood-fired pizzas to tender lamb kabobs, and Brandy Ho’s in Danville, which is the first suburban location of longtime North Beach and Castro favorites. Also, we take another look at East Bay fixtures Esin Restaurant & Bar in Danville, where the entrees are getting as much buzz as the desserts; Back Forty Texas BBQ, which serves up real, rugged barbecue in Pleasant Hill; and Il Fornaio in Walnut Creek, which makes beet salad sing.
