Outstanding in the Field Dinner

Eccolo chef and Petaluma's Green String Farm team up for a special dinner on July 2.

If you're looking for a unique dining experience and don't mind a little drive, Chef Christopher Lee of Eccolo in Berkeley is teaming up with Green String Farm for dinner at the Petaluma farm on Thursday, July 2nd, at 4 p.m. The ingredients for the dinner, which will be served on a (very) long table outside on the farm grounds), will come exclusively from Green String Farm, a “beyond organic” farm in Petaluma whose veggies Chef Lee has been cooking for years. The dinner is part of a series put on by the Outstanding in the Field organization, whose mission is to re-connect diners with the origins of their food and spread appreciation for the local farmers and artisans who put meals on our tables. The dinner will also be featuring wines from Cline Cellars, Vella cheeses, breads from award-winning baker Mike Zakowski and hand-cranked ice cream for dessert.
