Winemaker dinner Friday at Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa
DuMOL winery to pair wines with four-course dinner at the Duck Club Restaurant.
Wine proprietor Kerry Murphy of DuMOL winery will share his wine making philosophy at the winemaker dinner on October 30 at 6:30 p.m., which will be hosted at the Duck Club Restaurant located in the Lafayette Park Hotel and Spa. Award-winning DuMOL winery produces 4,000 cases a year and their wines are in such a high demand that they sell out months before their release dates.
For the dinner, their 2007 vintage wines from the Russian River Valley appellation will be paired with a four-course menu created by Executive Chef Chuck Courtney. Hors d’Oeuvres will be served at 6:30 p.m. and paired with the 2008 Viognier Lia. At 7:00 p.m. the full dinner will begin featuring a pan seared day boat scallop with buttered apple puree, followed by a Muscovy duck, Dijon and herb roasted rack of lamb with a fennel-cardoon gratin and syrah lamb jus, and finally various artisan cheeses. The food will be paired with 2007 Chardonnay, two Pinot Noirs, and a Syrah. The event costs $99 per person and reservations are required.
