What's in Store: Everyone's Favorite Sale

Shop the biggest Nordstrom sale of the year; a new place to buy and consign gems; East Bay books collide with fashion; and more!

Deals and Sales

It’s that time again! Prep your closets (and your wallets!): the Nordstrom Anniversary sale starts this Friday, July 18. Every department in the store is packed with summer items as well as new fall and winter apparel, so don’t be left out!

Lilac Dress Boutique is staging a Blue Gypsy Jewelry Trunk show this Saturday, July 19. Choose from pieces such as delicate, dangly earrings, and receive 10 percent off all purchases.

Erica Tanov, located on Berkeley’s Fourth St., will be having a sale July 26 and 27. The unstructured clothing is soft, clean, and subtle; California-esque with a little extra something.

Ali Golden is doing some spring cleaning and that adds up to great savings not to mention a fab look spring/summer look. Now through Monday, July 20, find the perfect item for a hot summer day at a discount of up to 35 percent.

Fashion, Meet Literature

On Sunday, July 20, join McMullen from 2-4 p.m. for a book signing party for photographer Kristen Loken and author Melissa Davis’ This is Oakland book. While you’re there, you’ll be tempted to do some shopping so it’s good this chic boutique is having a sale!

Next week Lafayette author Stephanie Simons releases her new book, All’s Fair in Love and Wardrobe. A huge congrats! If you are a shopping maven with a disastrous dating history, this is the summer read for you.

Kinsley James now has a blog! Read about the experiences of local brides, as well as the stories behind their dresses. It’s like reading an episode of  ‘Say Yes to the Dress’!
