Northgate High alum wins Design Competition

Amy Wong Micucci's wedding dress design announced as winner of national competition on Good Morning America.

A big Diablo Congratulations to Northgate High alum Amy Wong Micucci, who took home the top prize in the Operation Dream Dress competition. Wong was awarded the prize live on today’s Good Morning America, in which the top five finalists presented their designs. Operation Dream Dress, launched earlier this year by Brides magazine, challenges newbie dressmakers to create a wedding dress of visionary romance. According to Good Morning America, Micucci is starting her own bridal dress line in Beverly Hills. As the winner, her dress will be featured on the cover of the November/December issue of Brides magazine, and manufactured worldwide by David’s bridal—not bad for a newbie.
