The new Davidson & Licht is now open. Though they are still undergoing construction, you can go browse the store on N. Main St., across from Starbucks.

The P parking lot of Nordstrom is closed, making parking at lunchtime in Broadway Plaza—or any busy hour, for that matter—more of an ordeal. Remember that free valet parking is available now through the end of the year.

While I was doing a little Wednesday night shopping last week, I spotted a snazzy Banana Republic in Broadway Plaza. Its huge, dark-brick exterior stands out, and the inside appears to be massive.

Springtime sales will be easy to find a Blackhawk Plaza. Simply find a circle sticker that contains a flower, and there is sure to be a sale inside the store.

Duchess boutique has some new items in, including J brand, Saint Grace, and Daftbird clothing. Over at McMullen, New York designer Tanya Taylor’s work is now available. This is the perfect designer to help you try out the mid-length dress and skirt trend.

There are several jewelry trunk shows to peruse. There will be a spring-centric Stella & Dot trunk show at Lilac boutique March 15, and Melissa Joy Manning is having a trunk show in Berkeley the day before (March 14).

Now through April 2, Monika Steiner’s work is at Lireille-Gallery of Contemporary Jewelry and Art. There will be a reception this Friday, March 14, from 6-8 pm. This Swiss artist has her work represented in galleries in San Francisco, Seattle, Santa Fe, New York, and Berlin.
