Spring break is just around the corner, and the Easter bunny is on his way. Head to Miette in Jack London Square for a special Easter give-away, or to Piedmont Community Church in Oakland for a treasure sale benefiting students spending their spring break building houses in Mexico.

The adorable cookie, candy, and cupcake shop Miette—with locations in Jack London Square, San Francisco, and Marin—began its Easter egg filled basket giveaway earlier in March. Eggs are filled with candy and a surprise prize, from free ice cream sandwiches to free cakes. Head West for the annual two-day Treasures Sale at Piedmont Community ChurchScore bargain prices on thousands of community-donated items—including housewares, books, jewelry, tools, furniture, and more—covering 8,300 square feet. All proceeds go toward building materials and travel expenses for more than 200 high school students spending spring break building houses for less-fortunate families in Mexico.
