Makeoever America Tour Comes to Pleasanton Saturday

TLC's Clinton Kelly to give 15 makeovers at Macy's in Stoneridge Shopping Center.

Saturday, November 14

TLC's Clinton Kelly at Macy's in Stoneridge Shopping Center

Clinton Kelly of TLC’s What Not to Wear brings the television treatment to 15 local women as part of Macy’s Makeover America tour, which swings by Macy’s Stoneridge this Saturday, November 14th. This is the last stop on their 15-mall tour, which aims to change the lives of over 200 women by building confidence through clothes. Each of the makeovers is revealed in store, followed by a chance to ask Kelly questions concerning fit and style.

For those unfamiliar with the show, Kelly is like your no nonsense, straight talking, not-afraid-to-tell-it-how-it-is best friend in the fashion world.

But don't worry too much: while the playful jabs and snarky comments make for good television on What Not to Wear, the goal of Makeover America is to ultimately transform women and give them the confidence to put their best fashion foot forward.

“It’s not strictly about trends or solely about shape,” says Kelly. “It is finding current looks that accentuate someone’s lifestyle and personality. Knowing you look great builds confidence, and confidence is a key ingredient in reaching your goals.”

The event takes place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 14 at Macy’s in Stoneridge Mall, Pleasanton.

Wednesday, November 11: Prima Donna trunk show at Bonne Nuit boutique

No sooner do temperatures drop and skies cloud over than designers set their eyes on their spring collections, crafting breezy sundresses that mock us from their display windows as our jacket and scarf-clad reflections stare back morosely. While heavy layers and figure-concealing cable-knits may leave you feeling less than glamorous, you can update what you’re wearing underneath for a much-needed feminine touch.

Bonne Nuit, Walnut Creek’s Parisian-style lingerie boutique, is holding a Prima Donna trunk show today. From noon to 8 p.m. you’ll have the chance to order from Prima Donna’s entire fall collection, which includes a selection of fun and flirty combinations and separates. The European line aims to provide a perfect fit for naturally shaped women, and does so with an emphasis on comfort, fit and fashion. The trunk show encourages you to have some fun with winter shopping, even if you’re the only one who knows what you’re wearing underneath all those layers. Champagne and “nibbles” will be provided.

Bonne Nuit is located at 1387 N. Main St., Walnut Creek. For more information, call 925-935-1195 or visit bonnenuitlingerie.com.
