Bollinger Nail Salon, which is quite popular in Walnut Creek, will be opening a new location on Moraga Road in Lafayette. Look for it come mid-December.
Brown Avenue in Lafayette will be gaining a new store. Lafayette Fashionista, which has a posh ’20s vibe, will have a ribbon cutting ceremony November 14 at 5 p.m. Nearby neighbor Glamorous Boutique will be there, too, hosting a fashion show. Stay tuned for more details.
UNIQLO has opened a store in Emeryville’s Bay Street Mall. One of my favorite places to shop in SF and NYC has finally come to the East Bay, and I can’t wait to check it out. If you haven’t been to one before, it’s a one-stop shop for the entire family’s high-quality basics. This men’s ultra light down print vest is only $49.90.
There will be another place for the fellas to shop soon: Jos. A. Bank will be coming to Walnut Creek’s N. Main St.
Lastly, Burberry in Broadway Plaza has decided to close its doors indefinitely.
What’s Happening at Broadway Plaza?
Speaking of Broadway Plaza, many have been wondering what is going on these days. Countless stores have either vacated, relocated, or temporarily closed. There is, indeed, something behind the scenes in the works: There may be a 30,000 square-foot expansion. If this happens, the first wave of shops to get a facelift will be stores between Nordstrom and Macy’s. This would be a very slow-moving project over the years, but stay tuned more info.
