What's in Store: New Products and Openings
There are plenty of trunk shows to hit this week, as well as new store openings and items. Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Nordstrom. Plus, get ready to trick-or-treat in style.
This Friday through November 3, visit Pave Fine Jewelry for some new accessories. Sarah Graham’s cobalt chrome and 18K gold pieces, Alex Sepkus’s statement necklaces, and Michael Zobel’s Aztec-inspired style will all be featured at the store's Berkeley and Oakland locations. Bonus: If you spend $500, you’ll get $200 off. That’s a lot of bang for your buck.
If foot candy is more your thing, stop by (or perhaps linger) at the Saint Laurent trunk show at Neiman Marcus. Now through Sunday, stop by the shoe department for red-studded boots, or these black-and-white mod zipper booties for $995 (pictured). They are my personal favorite from the new collection.
It’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so show your support and stop by Nordstrom for a new brassiere. Friday and Saturday, your can get professionally fitted for one at the store's “We Heart a Great Fit” event. Your chest will thank you, and two dollars of every bra purchase will go to the Young Survival Coalition, an international organization that focuses on women under 40 who have breast cancer. You’ll also receive a free panty with a $50 purchase.
Nothing pairs better with anything pumpkin than a fashionably cozy scarf. Stop by Specialtees through Thursday to score a free scarf with any $100 purchase.
Venture Quality Goods in Lafayette, which is well known for its menswear, is now carrying items for the ladies. Stop by to browse their new items just in time for a seasonal wardrobe update.
More Movement and Openings
There has definitely been a lot of change going on in the East Bay shopping circuit lately. In Walnut Creek, Bracchiale, an accessories store, will be taking over the old Brighton location across the street from Nordstrom by November 1. Victoria’s Secret is also rumored to be taking over the old Bath & Body Works location next month, just a few doors down from its current location. If you are a fan of The Walking Company in Broadway Plaza, you may want to visit soon, as they are closing their doors Saturday.
Fans of Mr. Mopps' toy shop in Berkeley will be pleased to hear that the store now has a second location—just for books! Check out new reads for your kids, just two doors down from the original shop.
Thrift shoppers in the Tri-Valley can now stop by Savers. The chain thrift store will open Thursday, October 24 on Regional Street in Dublin.
Trick-or-Treat in Style
