Distinguished Speaker Series: Mothering Inside, a film by Brian Lindstrom
Mothering Inside chronicles the experiences of incarcerated women and their children as they participate in the Family Preservation Project. The Lafayette Library and Learning Center hosts this event, which includes a discussion with filmmaker Brian Lindstrom, a mother featured in the film, and a conversation with author Cheryl Strayed. lllcf.org.







Diablo Ballet’s Body and Soul
This program features a romantic dance duet form Mercurial Manoeuvres, a duet from Don Quixote, choreography by Mills College dance professor Sonya Delwaide, and When in Doubt by Robert Dekkers, with music from Jacob Wolkenhauer, at the Del Valle Theatre in Walnut Creek. diabloballet.org.






James Monroe Iglehart in Concert
Catch the Hayward native and Tony Award­–winning actor and singer onstage at Walnut Creek’s Lesher Center for the Arts. Iglehart is known for his role as the Genie in the stage production of Aladdin, as well as appearances in shows such as Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Gotham. leshercenter.org.
