East Bay rock icons to play historic theater for first time. Tickets go on sale today at 5 p.m.

Diablo's April cover boys—East Bay rock stars Green Day—have announced another surprise concert for Tuesday night, and this one should be a beauty. Last week, the band played a show at San Francisco's tiny Independent nightclub; tomorrow, they will play Oakland's beautifully restored Fox Theater. Around 3,500 lucky fans who get tickets will hear a mix of hits and new songs from the eagerly anticipated album 21st Century Breakdown, which hits stores in May. Tickets go on sale through the Fox's website at 5 p.m. today and will sell out in nanoseconds, so if you want to go, be online early and hit refresh often. Good luck!
