Oscar Party at Danville's Village Theatre
Support the Danville Children's Film Festival—and watch Hollywood's biggest party this Sunday night

I love watching the Oscars every year, so I'm pretty psyched that the writers settled and the big show will go on. I like to stay home, wear pajamas, and snack on some comfort food during the show—but some people like to go out to a big party. If you're looking for something to do on Oscar Night, there's going to be a cool party at Danville's Village Theatre, benefitting the Danville Children's Film Festival.Information below:
Local film enthusiasts are invited to celebrate Hollywood’s biggest night at the Village Theatre Oscar-Viewing Party, a benefit to support the Danville International Children’s Film Festival.
Evening gowns and tuxedos are NOT required at this casual, fun-filled event on Sunday, Feb. 24 at the Village Theatre, 233 Front St. in Danville. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the telecast of the 80th Academy Awards begins at 5 p.m. Tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance by calling 925-314-3400. Tickets also may be purchased online at villagetheatreshows.com.
The party’s main event will be the viewing of the Oscars as the glittery awards ceremony is broadcast live from Hollywood and projected on the Village Theatre’s 15-foot screen. Organizers are working to create a festive and memorable event with door prizes, trivia contests, games, food, soft drinks, and wine.
