Free Movie: STRANGERS ON A TRAIN
Alfred Hitchcock's thriller screens May 8 at the Orinda Theatre
Hey movie fans! This month's free screening in our Classic Movie Series is one of Alfred Hitchcock's most diabolical suspense offerings: Strangers on a Train.
Hitchcock reuinites with actor Farley Granger (Rope) and pairs him with the deliciously wicked Robert Walker in this nailbiter of a thriller—author Raymond Chandler worked on the screenplay—which has twists and turns right down to the final scene. Cinematographer Robert Burks was nominated for an Oscar for his black-and-white lensing and inventive camera placement. This one is truly a classic and needs to be seen on the big screen!
As always, our screenings are free, thanks to Orinda Theatre Square. Just arrive early to secure parking and find the best avauilable seat. And come with your thinking cap on, as we always give away special ciupcakes as trivia prizes before each show, thanks to the cupcake artists at Republic of Cake.
Strangers on a Train shows May 8 at 7 p.m. at the Orinda Theatre.
Mark your calendar for our family-friendly summer classics, The Goonies on June 12 and ET the Extra-Terrestrial on July 10.
See you at the movies!
