Free Movie: Halloween
Come see one of the most frightening films of all-time on October 13 at the Orinda Theatre
There's nothing quite like seeing a really scary movie with an audience—every jump scare creating a collective scream, then a laugh of relief. That's why I'm so excited to screen John Carpenter's lean, mean masterpiece Halloween on October 13 at the Orinda Theatre.
Carpenter made Halloween on a shoestring budget in 1978, only to have it become one of the highest grossing horror films of all time. The film holds up wonderfully—it is scary. But fun. It can also be difficult to secure screenings, so we were lucky to get it for our October entry in the monthly Classic Film Series.
Halloween will show for free at 7p.m. on October 13 at the historic Orinda Theatre. As always, its best to arrive early to secure parking and first come, first serve seating. We will give away cupcakes as trivia prizes from Republic of Cake before the movie.
See you at the movies!
