Vivian Wang and Ingrid Chen make super sweet cupcake containers without an ounce of sugar
UC Berkeley alums Vivian Wang and Ingrid Chen have enjoyed great success with their Viv & Ingrid jewelry line, gathering acclaim in InStyle, People, and Modern Bride, and a shout out on the Today show. Their newest invention is a line of lacquer cupcake jewelry boxes, each of which comes wrapped in a handcrafted cake box.
“It’s a gift that keeps on giving—open the box, and there’s the cupcake; open the cupcake, and you’ll find a personalized message. Or, maybe even a pair of tiny studs [sold separately],” says Wang, a Danville native. Even if the cupcakes don’t carry diamond earrings, the $22 “bonbons” make for sweet little containers. Adds Chen, “I use them to store thumbtacks, paper clips, and stamps on my desk—they make the workday a little more fun.”Available at vivandingrid.com.
