The Claremont Hotel New Year’s Eve Party Package

located in Oakland’s Jack London Square will serve a New Year’s Eve Argentine “Asado” menu, at $65.00 per person, the  menu must be ordered by all revelers at the table. The five course menu will include specialties such as Winter Squash Soup with brown butter and sage, Grilled Stuffed Calamari with black sauce, Mixed Meat “Asado”-grass-fed ribeye, roast chicken, and sausage or a Mixed Seafood “Asado” including achiote swordfish, scallops, and wild shrimp. Featured chimichurri, criolla, and shallot tapenade salsas will heat up the feast. Side dishes will include Argentine Cabbage Pudding, Caramelized Sweet Potatoes, and Roasted Marinated Peppers. To conclude, diners will indulge on Dulce de Lece Flan with candied orange and whipped cream, with Housemade chocolates.

The latest project from the Daniel Patterson Group, Haven opening tomorrow in Oakland’s Jack London Square. The restaurant features new Californian cuisine from Executive Chef Kim Alter and this New Year’s Eve will be offering a five-course tasting menu including such dishes as Latkes with apple, cabbage and pork belly; Duck with smoke kale, cranberry and potato and an Olive Oil Torte with salted almond, buttermilk and cream. Daniel Patterson’s Plum, located in Oakland’s Uptown neighborhood and easily accessible by public transportation from the East Bay or San Francisco, exudes a relaxed and friendly urban atmosphere with reclaimed wooden  tables and benches, hardwood floors, and weathered walls adorned with abstract images of plums. An open kitchen bridges the gap between diners and chefs, further fostering conversation in the dining room. Headed Chef Ron Boyd, this New Year’s Eve the restaurant will be open from 5 p.m. to close and will be offering an a la carte menu including “to start” items such as Trotter Terrine and Roasted Beets, “heartier” dishes include Fried Farm Egg, Tripe Gratin and a Blood Sausage Sandwich.  Desserts from Pastry Chef Matt Tinder include a Lemon Tart with mint and olive oil ice cream. 

One Market Restaurant
will offer two seatings to celebrate the New Year. Both seatings will enjoy a 3-course meal made up of delicious appetizers, a gourmet main course, and a dessert. Some featured items include Hand-Picked Dungeness Crab, Grilled Veal “Pave”, and Filet Mignon. The first seating will take place between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. for $85 per person. The second seating will serve between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. and will include a champagne toast at midnight for $120 per person. Lark Creek
Walnut Creek will have dinner seatings from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and will serve an array of gourmet courses.
