Diablo Custom Publishing Announces the Launch of Its Advanced Tablet Application for iPad and Other Tablet Devices
DCP's Advanced Tablet App offers new interactive media options not available on standard magazine tablet apps.
Walnut Creek, CA- Diablo Custom Publishing (DCP) announced the launch of its new custom tablet product, the Advanced Tablet Application (App) for the iPad and other tablet devices. Select Advanced Tablet Apps from DCP’s clients are now available in the iTunes store.
DCP’s Advanced Tablet App contains features that will enhance readers audio and video experience, as well as allow them to provide feedback or fill out forms while they are in the app. The app also allows the integration of custom control buttons. DCP’s new application enables photos to have 360-degree rotation and provides social share on any article. When an article has been shared via social media, the recipient can view the article in a web viewer, enabling integrated peer-to-peer viral marketing.
The advanced tablet platform allows for both horizontal and vertical orientations, with each direction offering a unique and optimized layout. It also has directional views, or the app can lock to one orientation on a single page, or for the whole issue. DCP’s app can assign a hot zone at the bottom of a page that pulls up the navigation bar. When the hot zone is set up, readers can tap anywhere else on the page, and the navigation bar will not appear. The Advanced Tablet App can be used in single or multifolio format.
“We are extremely excited to offer a new cutting-edge service to our clients,” states Barney Fonzi, Group Publisher for Diablo Publications. “DCP’s new Advanced Tablet App offers the perfect blend of magazine-style layouts with engaging interactive content. With integrated social share and built-in analytics, we can provide our clients with timely, actionable intelligence and help them develop a better understanding of the type of content that drives customer engagement.”
Once the DCP app is published, customers can take advantage of the integrated e-commerce services, with support for single-issue, multi-issue, or subscription-based in-app purchases; subscriptions via the Apple Store, Android Marketplace, or Amazon Kindle Fire Newsstand; and direct sales from the customer’s website. Using Application Protocol Interfaces (APIs), customers can even integrate the app into their existing business systems.
