June
Hi Peter:
I just wanted congratulate you on such an outstanding article on live music in the recent issue. Your comprehensive approach is just what music fans of “our demographic” are looking for.
Seeing that you appreciate good music, good food, and good drink, I thought you may like to know that the Blue Agave in downtown Pleasanton has recently opened up their back patio on Thursday nights. Combining a “semi-plugged” music format with local business sponsorship, the patio becomes a face-to-face marketing co-op in a casual, fun setting.
Tonight you can hear one of the East Bay’s most treasured vocalists, La Tanya Charmical.
Thanks Peter for your summer music guide, and we to see you this summer on the patio that the Blue Agave.

I absolutely love this place! This is exactly what Walnut Creek needed - an upscale made to order fresh soup and salad bar!

On Diablo's Pet Madness contest:
Dear Diablo:
I loved the pet pictures in your June 2009 issue. Finally decided that I must comment on the caption concerning Rufus and his "Quirks".
His 'dropping to the ground with his legs extended' may not be just that he is fed up with a walk. Because Bulldogs are prone to great respiratory distress and overheating this is a behavior that may well save his life. Usually they will drop on the coolest grass or other spot that is available as this is the fastest way for them to cool themselves.
Thanks for a great magazine.
