When you partner with Diablo, our print publication is simply the tip of the iceberg. Marketing to today’s consumers requires well-developed strategies to insure that desired results are achieved. And for business owners, the task can often be daunting. That’s why we’ve made it as simple as 1, 2,3 . . .

Diablo magazine: Just the Facts

When you advertise in Diablo magazine, you are assured of reaching a highly qualified, loyal and invested readership. For 32 years, Diablo magazine has been delivering high quality editorial to over 40,000 households, translating to 116,000 readers each month. Our audit statement confirms our delivery, and our reader study confirms the value of our reader base--two items of utmost importance to any advertiser. You must know to whom you are marketing.

Diablo distributes 40,000 magazines every month, making more than 1.39 million impressions per year. Distribution includes targeted delivery of more than 35,000 magazines to the area’s most affluent households—from the Berkeley and Oakland Hills to Lamorinda, Walnut Creek, Danville, Blackhawk, and the Tri-Valley.

Diablo reaches new readers every issue with placement at premier newsstand locations that include Andronico’s, Whole Foods, Safeway, Barnes & Noble, Borders, and Lunardis, placement in key transportation outlets like Oakland Airport and Black Tie Transportation vehicles, delivery to new move-ins, and distribution at community events.

Diablo’s circulation is audited by CVC to provide assurance that all copies are distributed as promoted. CVC is the preferred national provider of audited data for the marketing and media/information industries. Diablo’s reader demographics are guaranteed through surveys conducted by Monroe Mendelsohn Research, Inc.

Diablo readers are loyal. They actively look to Diablo for trusted information and resources every month. Eighty-one percent spend at least 30 minutes with each issue. And, the average length of time as a Diablo reader/subscriber is six and a half years. Successful advertising campaigns build consumer mindshare through repeated exposure to marketing messages. Diablo magazine’s regular monthly distribution keeps advertisers’ brands top-of-mind, helping consumers recall advertisers’ products and services when purchasing decisions are being made.

Diablo advertising programs offer value. Diablo’s frequency rate discounts and zone-only ad buys create cost-effective options to meet every advertiser’s needs—whether it’s to reach the entire Diablo distribution or only a specific geographic market.

Diablo is deeply committed to strengthening the fabric of the community through signature events, subscription fundraising promotions, media sponsorships, and employee volunteer programs. Throughout the year, Diablo works with more than 100 grassroots and major nonprofit organizations to help them reach their fundraising and promotional goals.

Diablo is recognized for excellence. Diablo is a member of the City and Regional Magazine Association (CRMA). CRMA member publications are held to high standards and must be of general interest, consumer oriented, and have unbiased editorial content. Diablo magazine has been recognized by CRMA, receiving multiple awards for excellence in publishing, including Overall Design and General Excellence.

Napa Sonoma

Our bi-annual lifestyle magazine for Wine Country is as informing as it is beautiful. It has set the standard for sharing the Wine Country lifestyle with visitors and residents alike. Each issue is distributed through a multi-channel system that delivers an affluent end user for all advertisers.

Wine Country is more than a place—it’s a destination, a lifestyle, and a state of mind. Napa Sonoma magazine chronicles it all. With engaging stories, spectacular photography, and informative listings, it reaches, engages, and influences both residents and visitors.

Wine In this part of the world, wine is everyone’s business—and pleasure. Napa Sonoma guides readers off the beaten path, with insightful stories that introduce lesser-known winemakers, top spots for tasting, and the wide variety of wines produced in the region.

People From the international celebrity-turned-winemaker to the local family-run operation and the creative
rogues, Napa Sonoma interviews the fascinating personalities who color the landscape and add spice to Wine Country life.

Dining Wine Country is also food country. Napa Sonoma traces the region’s delicious foodstuffs to the
artisanal farmers, cheesemakers, chocolatiers, and small businesses who give the region its special flavor.
It also showcases the latest chefs and restaurants that celebrate local bounty.

Arts and Culture The two wine valleys share an eclectic artistic spirit, reflected in the range of performances, exhibitions, casual art installations, and creative charitable events that take place throughout the year. From iconic outdoor sculptures to a fairytale chateau wedding, Napa Sonoma covers the scene.

Home and Design Tucked into forested hills or surrounded by vines on the valley floor, architectural gems are hidden throughout the region. Napa Sonoma uncovers some of the best—from neo-Tuscan villas to ultramodern wineries.

Destinations Whether it’s blending your own wine, discovering unique boutiques, taking a cooking class, or participating in a winemaker dinner, Napa Sonoma shows visitors and residents new ways to experience Wine Country’s charms.

What to See and Do Handy maps, an events calendar, extensive listings of restaurants, accommodations, spas, outdoor activities, and arts and culture venues, plus a comprehensive winery guide make Napa Sonoma the premier resource for enjoying your Wine Country visit.

DIABLO MAGAZINE SIGNATURE EVENTS
Diablo Women | Gourmet East Bay | Threads Of Hope

Each year, Diablo presents three signature events, Diablo Women, Gourmet East Bay, and Threads of Hope. While each of these events serve different segments of our readership and community, involvement in them allows our advertisers the ability to connect one-on-one with affluent East Bay residents and leverage the strength of the Diablo brand.

Several sponsorship levels are available for these events and can offer The Monterey Bay Aquarium the ability to have an on-site presence with a photo booth where attendees can “Share the Love” (email photos to their friends and family).

Diablo Women - late April
Each year, Diablo magazine celebrates women in our community through our Diablo Women event and special advertising section. The invitation-only event brings together the most involved and influential women in the East Bay with cocktails, networking, fundraising, and inspiration. Last year's event featured a special performance by Teatro ZinZanni and an interview with Good Morning America correspondent Becky Worley. The event, presented by the Alta Bates Summit Medical Center and held at the Claremont Hotel, Club, and Spa, raised more than $8,000 for the Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic.
