We're giving away free meals to some of our 2009 Diablo Food Award-winning restaurants, including Va de Vi, Wente, Incontro, Chevalier, The Peasant and the Pear, Prima, Artisan Bistro, and Esin. All you have to do is fill out the form below and tell us what your absolute favorite part of our November Food issue was. Good luck!

My favorite part of the November issue was the feautre on Gourmet Ghetto in Berkeley. I work in Berkeley and often visit some of these restuarants with my co-workers-- we work in food PR. It is really interesting to hear the back story and philosophies behind what makes these restaurants so successful-- aside from serving delicious dishes. Most restaurants try to make their mark by being exlusive, but not the restaurants in the Gourmet Ghetto. It is refreshing to hear the human side of the story.

Would like to know which restaurants are single-friendly, as a featured article.

My favorite part of the November issue was the feature on "Grow Your Own" fruits and vegetables. When I had a backyard, I would throw dinner parties throughout the summer for my friends to enjoy the "fruits" of my labor, like sugar snap peas, tomatoes and zucchini. In the fall, I'd bring the figs from our tree to work. Food brings such a sense of community and working intimately with the earth brings such great satisfaction!!
