Extreme Library
Look for Lafayette Book Store owner Dave Simpson on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’s season premiere. The store donated 1,200 books to a remodeled home in Fairfield, then Simpson’s staff and family got their hands dirty creating a library with Ty Pennington and his extreme team of designers from the hit ABC makeover show.
“My daughter Allie and I worked in the house for six hours, and we got to be there when they revealed [the new home] to the family,” says Simpson. The East Bay’s generosity didn’t end there. “Our customers have donated more than $1,500 in store credit for ongoing book needs for the family,” Simpson says.
