Diablo Review:

Sleek yet woodsy, Amber is a great place for drinks or dinner. A bruschetta, its tomato and basil emboldened by a lively vinegar, hinted at the deliciousness of chef Shane Hammett’s cooking. The fried calamari showed equal flavor but lost its crispness, unfortunately, because it was served in a bowl and drizzled with
sauce. A special salad of arugula, fennel, and chèvre could not have been spunkier. The like-buttah flat-iron steak, also a special, shone alongside golden-browned potatoes and a vibrant romesco sauce. The almond-crusted halibut held its own next to a sweet tangle of Chinese noodles and julienned vegetables. Cocktails are fun on wheels; a fruity pineapple martini featured a not-too-sweet house-infused and seriously chilled vodka. A strawberry tart and a rhubarb cobbler were seasonal, tender, and deliciously rich. Lunch Mon.–Fri., dinner Mon.–Sat.                                                                                                                                                                                                                Make Reservations
