Tucked inside Concannon’s Livermore winery, Underdog brings a touch of urban sophistication to Tri-Valley wine country. And the small plates menu, put together by ex-Wente chef Eric Berg, now of On the Vine Catering, packs a tasty punch that will snap you out of your grape-induced stupor. Shared dishes, include a California cheeseboard, artisanal cured meat plate, and the pulled pork tacos. Supplement them with a side of addictive cabernet olives or artichoke fondue. The patio overlooking the winery’s expansive front lawn offers a chic oasis from wine tasting. And if you’re still game, Underdog’s fun wine flights are a total steal. Lunch and dinner daily.
