At a Glance

What makes it special: Cooking that is personal, delicious, and not outrageously expensive.
Don’t Miss: The burger made from Prather Ranch beef, pasta carbonara with seasonal veggies, and baby romaine salad with Point Reyes blue cheese, currants, and pecans.
The Space: Indoors, you’ll find wooden tables and cozy chairs; outdoors, patio tables for late summer dining.
Pleasant surprise: Java junkies can have their beverages made from their choice of six different coffee beans from Blue Bottle.
When to go: A sophisticated weekday breakfast, a late lunch, or an early dinner.
Bonus: All pastries are made in-house, and the spicy, chewy ginger cookies are full of zing.

I am a frequent patron of Sideboard and it is my favorite place to grab coffee before work, eat dinner and brunch, and sit in the corner with my laptop (free wi-fi!). Erin and Ford, as well as the entire staff, are amazing friendly, and the food is both delicious and addictive. Personal favorites include the Blue Bottle coffee, brownies and pasta carbonara.

Sideboard IS the kind of place where everyone knows your name, a refreshing and long overdue addition to the area. I no longer have to drive to Oakland or Berkeley to find this kind of vibe and comfort food with local ingredients.

Having experienced Erin's passion for great food, eye for detail and ability to create a warm, engaging environment - I have no doubt Sideboard will become the area's most beloved restaurant. For those of you lucky enough to live close by, you are truly missing a unique experience if you haven't been there yet. This is an all-encompassing experience you won't soon forget and will seek out again and again. Congratulations Erin and Ford!

Coffee was wonderful...but if I want to pick up my own silver, S & P (they call it "Light" service), I can stay home. The toast that my eggs were under was rock hard! I think my fork gave out. The dishes (plates) were very entertaining. Mac and cheese was 5*. Sorry, breakfast didn't cut it!

Best food in town. I eat there at least three times a week. You just can't go wrong going to Sideboard. There is something for every taste! Try it once, and return again, again, and again.
