Concerned East Bay Restaurateurs hold Haiti Relief Event All Proceeds to benefit Partners in Health Walnut Creek, California, – A group of concerned chefs and restaurant owners has joined together to hold a food, wine, and music event to benefit Partners in Health in Haiti. Held on Sunday February 28 from 1-5 pm in the tented parking lot at Walnut Creek Yacht Club, Stand With Haiti will bring together prominent restaurants and wineries for an afternoon of great food, drink and music. The participating restaurants include Bridges, Lark Creek Walnut Creek, Prima, Postino, Va de Vi, and Walnut Creek Yacht Club. Leonidas Chocolates and Walnut Creek Baking Company will provide desserts, and noted winemaker Robert Foley will be on stage with The Robert Foley Band.Tax deductible tickets, which include one raffle ticket, are $100 per person, and are available at the participating restaurants. Raffle tickets are $10 each and are also available at participating restaurants.Partners In Health (PIH), a 501-(c) 3, has been working on the ground in Haiti for over 20 years. PIH works to bring modern medical care to poor communities in 12 countries around the world. The work of PIH has three goals: to care for their patients, to alleviate the root causes of disease in their communities, and to share lessons learned around the world.Based in Boston, PIH employs more than 11,000 people worldwide, including doctors, nurses and community health workers. The vast majority of PIH staff are local nationals based in the communities that they serve. |
