Diablo magazine Announces Gourmet East Partners

Sysco San Francisco, restaurants, and wineries to participate in Walnut Creek's premier dining event

Walnut Creek, CA – Presenting Partners Diablo magazine and Broadway Plaza Shopping Center jointly announce participants in this year's Gourmet East Bay dining event, the toast of Walnut Creek. In partnership with Sysco San Francisco, the event will host 30 restaurants; 15 wine, beer, and spirits partners; and various key media and promotional partners for the November 5, 2011, Gourmet East Bay event to be held at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek, CA.

In addition to dining and wine tasting from the areas leading restaurants, wineries, and breweries, the evening includes live music and dancing with the band Pop Fiction, a hot live auction, and an exclusive raffle with proceeds supporting event beneficiaries Project Open Hand and Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. Prizes include a $1000 shopping spree at Broadway Plaza with VIP parking on the day after Thanksgiving, and 12 months of dining for two from participating Gourmet East Bay restaurant partners. Teatro ZinZanni will host a Fabulous Photo Booth, and additional promotional partners include ABC-7 KGO TV, KGO AM 810 radio, Alice@97.3 radio, Opentable.com, and Yelp.

Attendees will enjoy tastings from popular area restaurants. Participants include: 1515, Blackhawk Grille, Cocina Poblana,The Duck Club Restaurant at Lafayette Park Hotel, Eddie Papa's American Hangout, Élevé, Esin, Forbes Mill Steak House, Havana, Kenwood Inn and Spa, Koi Garden Restaurant, Lark Creek Walnut Creek, Maria Maria, NM Café at the new Neiman Marcus at Broadway Plaza, Origen/The Fig Tree, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Paragon at The Claremont Hotel Club & Spa, The Peasant & The Pear, Picán, Postino, The Prickly Pear Cantina, Prima Ristorante, The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards, Sasa, Stanford's, Uncle Yu's, Va de Vi, Vineyards Chop House – Bar, and Walnut Creek Yacht Club. Participating wineries are Crooked Vine Winery, Fenestra Winery, Grgich Hills Estate, Hop Kiln Winery, Lodi Winegrape Commission, McGrail Vineyards and Winery, Merryvale, Mitchell Katz Winery, Nottingham Cellars, Tamayo Family Vineyards, W. & J. Graham's Port, and Wente Vineyards. Breweries Ale Industries and E.J. Phair Brewing Company, plus spirits partner Brugal Rum, round out the pouring partners at the event.
