Super Bowl Events

Check out these great East Bay destinations to watch this year's Big Game.

It’s that time of the year again when the country pauses to pay its respects to America’s biggest game, The Super Bowl. Instead of sitting at home, go out and indulge at these theaters and bars to take advantage of their specials on gameday, Sunday, February 6.

The Vine Cinema
The always-popular Vine Cinema is kicking their party off at 2 p.m. with free seating in both of their theaters. Seating is first-come, first-serve, and food and drinks are delivered to your seat. It wouldn’t be a Super Bowl party without meatloaf sliders and a tall Sierra Nevada. 1722 1st St., Livermore, (925) 447-2545, vinecinema.com

The New Rheem Theatre
The Rheem is offering first-come, first-serve seating for over 600 guests in a single theater. There’ll be plenty of people to interact with, so you know you won’t be bored. And the best part: it’s free. 350 Park St., Moraga, (925) 388-0751, thenewrheemtheatre.com

Restaurants and Bars:

$4 drafts and an all-you-can-eat BBQ including pork ribs and chicken for $25.99 is only the start at McCovey’s. The party begins at 2:30 p.m. in the dining area, and 2 p.m. at the bar. The game will be broadcast on every TV in the place, including the enormous one right in the center. Get their fast because seating won’t last long. 1444 N. California Blvd., Walnut Creek, (925) 944-9444, mccoveys.com

Buffalo Wild Wings
A $10 entrance-fee grants you access to a number of beer specials, delicious food, and of course, an all day pass to watch the biggest football game of the year. They’ll also raffling off jersey’s every quarter, so you have a chance to bring home a souvenir without going to the game. 3712 Dublin Blvd., Dublin, (925) 361-0447, buffalowildwings.com

Pete’s Brass Rail
While they’ll be closing their doors for the day for regular dining, you still have the opportunity to purchase a $125 ticket that’ll grant you exclusive access to their Super Bowl festivity. Best of all, all of the money will be donated to the charity Autism Speaks. The ticket gives you access to unlimited food and drinks, including alcohol. Space is limited, so reserve your seat as soon as you can. 201 Hartz Avenue, Danville, (925) 820-8281, petesbrassrail.com

Beeb’s Sports Bar & Grill
Enjoy the big game on nearly two-dozen TV’s including two big screens. It’ll cost you $25 to get in, but that’ll entitle you to an all-you-can-eat buffet full of appetizers and desserts. About half of the seats are full for the event, so you should reserve your place soon. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. 915 Clubhouse Drive, Livermore, (925) 455-7070, beebsatlaspositas.com

George & Walts
The jukebox will be turned off and the nine television sets will be fired up for the game at this family owned and operated bar for over 75 years. Admission is free and they’ll be a gratis nacho bar and other food available pre-game. 5445 College Avenue, Oakland, (510) 653-7441, georgeandwalts.com
