High-Stick Fix

It seems the Sharks may soon return to the ice following the NHL’s 113-day lockout (as of press time, the Players’ Association began voting on a new agreement). But if you’ve been missing hockey this season, head across the Bay for a fun alternative with a cheap ticket price. The brand-new San Francisco Bulls team is part of the ECHL, a development league for the NHL, and is affiliated with the San Jose Sharks. When the Bulls play the Bakersfield Condors at the Cow Palace on February 9 and 10, they’ll trade in their white-and-orange jerseys for special teal Sharks–Bulls hybrid jerseys, which will be auctioned off live after each game. Tickets start at $14, sfbulls.com.
